I am extremely thankful to Dr Afifa Kausar, Assistant Professor, ADP college and her amazing team of students Zuganta Jyoti Das, Rajdeep Bora, Priyam Goswami, Sarkangthim Taro, Ruptalin Engtipi (Honors in Zoology, 6th Semester) for working on the research study with the template & framework I had provided. I always had the vision to conduct Population based epidemiological research study in diverse untapped cohorts to execute impactful & substantial results to bring into limelight the current scenario of Cancer screening since we do not have any data from these areas. The young enthusiast team of scientists are working on this project & I cannot be more thankful to Dr Kausar for building the team.
Zuganta, Rajdeep & Priyam are covering Nagaon area as a team & have already presented significant data & continuing with the project; Sarkangthim Taro and Ruptalin Engtipi are covering the Karbi Anglong (eg. Howraghat, Bakulia) as a team.
On August 5, 2019, I had the privilege to meet many students & faculties of ADP College, as I was invited to speak about “Detection & early screening of Breast Cancer “, the workshop was diligently organized by Dr Kausar. During the meeting, Dr Kausar & I discussed thoroughly the plans & action of our research study.
On behalf of Breast Cancer Hub, I would like to thank Dr Kausar, the wonderful students taking up the project & ADP College for pursuing with the BCH research proposal on Screening frequency & analysis on regional aspects with regards to lifestyle, culture and environmental factors contributing to cancer development and prognosis.
