Dr. Shirtaz Begam Laskar, working as an assistant professor in the department of Philosophy, Janata College, Kabuganj,Cachar,Assam,India. Completed MA in Philosophy from Assam University, Silchar. Completed M.Phil. and Ph.D.from Assam University, Silchar on the 'Status of Muslim Women' and 'Ethics of Islam from Gender Perspective' respectively.
MISSION STATEMENT: At the time of doing my research work on the status and rights of women I have always felt the necessity for creating awareness among women regarding the different aspects of their lives and Health is of course an important factor among others. The health status of women is very worse in rural areas of our region. Cancer in 'Breast' is a matter of shy for many. We consciously try to deny the fact that Breast is an important part of women's body and this part is important not only for women but also for their babies who are the future of our society. I would like to work on the cause for creating awareness among women and men so that we can get a healthy society.
