My name is Debabrata Dutta, I am working at Cachar Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Silchar, Assam, India.
I was born on 25 Aug 1981 at Haflong, Assam. My father retired from SSB, 2019 & I lost my father, who was diagnosed with urinary bladder carcinoma. My mother is a housewife. I have a small kid and my wife is a school teacher. I have done my schooling from Hojai and diploma in pharmacy from Bangalore. On 2005 my aunt got diagnosed with carcinoma Oesophagus and we took her to ADYAR cancer institute Chennai for treatment and on 2007 I took her to CCH&RC for follow up where Dr Ravi Kannan Sir offered me the job to set up hospital pharmacy and on 1st January 2008, I joined this hospital. At the very 1st day, Sir took me to hospital round and also discussed his vision for the hospital and that time I decided if Ravi Sir from another part of India came to such remote place to serve our community, then it is also my duty to serve my community and I decided to join the mission. Subsequently, I was selected for 15 days certificate course organized by TIPS in collaboration with IOWA University and after completion of this course, we started help desk in our OPD and started actively offering help to the patient accord to their need. Then, I completed my masters in hospital administration and then got promoted as an administrative officer. In 2018, I was selected for post-graduation diploma in the patient navigation program ‘’KEVAT’’ at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.
Mission Statement: My father died of cancer and working with Breast Cancer Hub I get the satisfaction of helping cancer patients.
