I am Sanchita Banerjee. My educational qualification is B.SC (CHEM HONS) (C.U.), BTECH in Chemical Technology (Calcutta University), M. Tech in Petroleum Refining and Petrochemicals (Chemical University). I am working in OIL INDIA LIMITED from 1985. I am the 1st lady engineer in OIL. I am now General Manager LPG. I am looking after two LPG plants. I am the 1st lady in E&P industry as COMPETENT PERSON and certifying authority from PESO for SMPV Rule 44.
I am also lead auditor of ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001. I am graduate in Dance from Rabindra Bharity University and also in Kathak dance from Allahabad university.
I am the founder member of FORUM OF WOMEN IN PUBLIC SECTOR(WIPS), OIL CELL. WIPS, OIL Cell, Duliajan was formed in April 1997 under the aegis of Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) which is the apex body of Central Government owned Public Enterprises. From September 2010 I have taken over the WIPS OIL CELL as President cum Coordinator. From 2011 onwards I am the executive committee (EC)member of WIPS Eastern Region. My role in Eastern Region: in 2010-12: EC member, in 2012-14: Jt. Secretary, in 2014-16: Secretary, In 2016-18: President. In 2019-20 I have become the APEX PRESIDENT.
I am the only child of my parents. I am from the middle class family. My father was working in Calcutta Corporation in water works department as inspector and my mother was house wife. My father left me in December, 2011 and my mother left me in Feb 2015. They were with me always. My husband is my friend, philosopher and guide. He is my role model. We are working in same organization. He is Chief General Manager and he is the Asset Manager of Western Asset. We are having only one son. After completing MSC Biotechnology from ST. Xavier’s, Kolkata he worked for one year in BIOCON LTD. Presently He is pursuing his MBA in HR from IPE, Hyderabad (under Ministry of HRD).
My hobby; I love music (Vocal, dance, instrument). My favorite pass time is book reading and gardening.
My passion is to work for society. I am working with an NGO where all women are working as weavers. I am having four daughters. Among them already two are working and others are studying. But till now I haven’t met them. I am taking care about their study and other necessity till they become self-sufficient. I am always trying to motivate women as well as men to stay in normal life. I am working as motivator and also as counselor in our PSU as well as other PSUs.

Mission statement:
I already expressed that I want to work for society. From Through WIPS platform, I am trying to create awareness among school girls and also their parents regarding the issues related to adolescence (health, physiological).
We are arranging the talk and also health checkup related to gynecological problem for working women in our organization.
On 19th July, 2018, Dr. Lopamudra Das Roy has given the awareness program related to breast Cancer where I have found that other than medical profession, anyone can take part in this program and help the society to become strong. I am very much impressed for that and I want to devote myself for this job.
