Tripti Borah, story in english
It's me who is a simple, caring, fun loving lady living with loving husband & adorable son. When everything was going normal & smooth, one fine day I noticed something uneven. I had been to doctor’s office, and went through series of test and every test turned in to negative & confirmed that it's Breast Cancer.
A tumor is an abnormal lump or growth of cells. When the cells in the tumor are normal, it is benign. Something just went wrong, and they overgrew and produced a lump. When the cells are abnormal and can grow uncontrollably, they are cancerous cells, and the tumor is malignant.
Malignant Tumors: Malignant means that the tumor is made of cancer cells and it can invade nearby tissues. Some cancer cells can move into the bloodstream or lymph nodes, where they can spread to other tissues within the body. Not all tumors are cancerous.
If you have been diagnosed with a tumor, the first step your doctor will take is to find out whether it is malignant or benign, as this will affect your treatment plan. In short, the meaning of malignant is cancerous and the meaning of benign is non-cancerous.
The day we got this confirmation my world got shattered but with the help of my extra caring hubby I accepted & made up my mind to live my life for my loved ones & crossed all hurdles with smile.
On my treatment, the chemo part was tough & challenging.
As I was going through my treatment which lasted a period of 12-month, lot of questions were keep coming back myself. I do regular exercise, try to eat healthy, why god chosen me to get this news?
There could be many reason for any disease it could be directly or indirectly from different sources. But by god grace, love & support of my family I overcome this hurdle after a year treatment.
Being a survivor, I would say be positive & believe in yourself. Annual mammograms can detect cancer early — when it is most treatable. In fact, mammograms show changes in the breast up to two years before a patient or physician can feel them. Mammograms can also prevent the need for extensive treatment for advanced cancers and improve chances of breast conservation.
One will need lots of patience & courage to face this if God chosen us to take this pain ... then we too accept this challenge with smile. Sometimes I think God is designer & we the survivors are models. Take everything in positive way then any evil thing will turn into GOOD.
